NYG Green Partners seeks full-time Senior Energy Auditor/Retro-commissioning Engineer.


·Familiarity with ASHRAE Level II Energy Audits and procedures, as well as NYC LL 87;
·Gathering, interpreting and evaluating building data (energy use, equipment function, etc);
·Developing technical reports, sometimes under tight deadlines;
·Analyzing existing buildings, including the review of: building operation schedules, O&M manuals, as-built drawings and utility bills;
·Performing surveys of existing buildings including: site inspections, identifying equipment deficiencies, verifying equipment locations, documenting equipment deficiencies, interviewing building personnel,
·Developing facilities energy efficiency improvements, analyzing energy and utilities data, recommending improvements to utility procurement and operations, and related duties;
·Identifying energy conservation opportunities and facilitating the implementation of projects;
·Developing and successfully executing commissioning plans;
·Project support duties, including daily communication and coordination with team members, management of deliverable documents, project resource management, and meeting or exceeding client expectations;
·Ability to positively interface with clients, building superintendents, contractors and various other project stakeholders and personnel.

Ideal candidate will have BS in mechanical engineering or energy-related technical field, 5+ years of experience in energy auditing, commissioning and/or retro-commissioning engineering and a background in HVAC design, knowledge of utility information systems, energy management and metering; excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; computer skills including the use of spreadsheets; especially Excel, and other database applications, ability to manage a team of people in the field and office to complete projects as well as be able to mentor staff. Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.

Highly recommended certifications include a PE license, CEM and/or LEED AP.

The work environment will consist of an office environment as well as frequent site visits in and around various client facilities. You must be able to climb ladders, access roofs, and access narrow mechanical rooms. In addition you must be capable of stooping, bending, reaching, squatting, and standing for extended periods. You must be capable of maneuvering over rough terrain as well as be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. You must also be familiar with job site safety requirements.
